A Legacy of Music: From True Spin DJs to About Pacific Sound Entertainment Before launching About Pacific Sound Entertainment, Kory's journey into DJing began with True Spin DJs in Saskatchewan in the early 2000s. This was the first record label he signed with, and it was here that he and four others honed their skills in beatmixing, crate digging, and rocking underground events.
Over time, the industry evolved, and so did we. What started as spinning underground sets in warehouses transformed into running major events, weddings, and corporate functions. The lessons learned from True Spin DJs—from reading a crowd to mixing seamless transitions—became the foundation of About Pacific Sound Entertainment’s high-energy and professional approach.

True Spin DJs wasn’t just a crew—it was a movement. The five of us spent countless hours learning the art of DJing, perfecting transitions, and creating unforgettable sets for raves, club nights, and private parties. We became highly skilled and, more importantly, built friendships that have lasted decades. Today, JADJ (Garret Friesen), Digaboo (Adam Bradley), and other talented DJs continue to represent True Spin DJs, and we’re proud to say we were part of its foundation. To this day, we remain close friends and continue to support one another.
One thing that always kept us connected was our love for gear. From turntables and mixers to the latest PA systems, we always turned to Long & McQuade for the best equipment. Back then, we spent whatever we could on vinyl, needles, and speakers, and to this day, About Pacific Sound Entertainment still trusts Long & McQuade for our DJ and live sound needs.
