Description

Prepare the event before you walk into the room.

Before the Doors Open is a practical DJ event-preparation system for newer and early-stage DJs who can already mix and now need to prepare for a real private, school, corporate or wedding-type event.

This is not a mixing course, gear guide or generic DJ ebook. It helps you collect the information that matters, build your event timeline, prepare music by phase, confirm special songs and key moments, plan announcements and requests, reduce unanswered questions, and walk into the event with a usable plan.

What you get

• Main Guide — the teaching layer that explains the preparation system and shows how the pieces fit together.
• Working Workbook — 14 reusable planning tools for building the actual event, including event information, client questions, run of show, music preparation, key moments, requests, announcements, venue/setup confirmation, contingencies, day-of flow and post-gig review.
• Event-Day Pack — a condensed working set for the information you need close at hand on event day.

Designed for laptop or tablet

The Workbook and Event-Day Pack are fillable PDFs designed for laptop, iPad or Android tablet use in a PDF app that supports fillable forms. Print any page if you prefer paper.

Who it is for

This toolkit is designed for a DJ who already knows the basics of loading, cueing and blending tracks but needs a repeatable system for preparing the event around the mixing.

What it does not replace

It does not replace personalized coaching, performance feedback, complex technical troubleshooting, venue approval, electrical or safety decisions, or professional MC services. It is an educational planning toolkit for the DJ’s own event preparation.

Format: digital download containing three PDF files in one ZIP package.
